    1. The Super-Coach of Smallville High: (Superboy) Superboy sees a man jumping off a bridge and recognizes him as Joe Fleming, an all-American track and baseball star from 2 years earlier. acting unseen, Superboy makes sure Joe survives and then approaches him as Clark Kent. after hearing about the bad luck Joe has had in his career Clark tells him Smallville high needs a new coach, and the principal eagerly highers him saying that the job will be made permanent if he can beat their rival Heather Hall. meanwhile, Heather Hall has just been bought by a man named Harold Craggs who tells the school's principal that he only bought it to beat and humiliate Smallville High. suddenly all of Smallville's best athletes are offered full-ride scholarships to Heather Hall. Joe is about to give up when Superboy shows up to help him train the best of what's left. after the training, Smallville wins but is disqualified because of a non-regulation shotput. Superboy saw Craggs give the Smallville thrower that shotput. Craggs tells him Smallville tried to destroy him 20 years ago so Superboy takes him to Dr. Waters, who was principal back then. Craggs tells how he overheard Waters telling a recruiter who asked about him to consider someone else first because Craggs's file wasn't handy but Waters explains it wasn't handy because he had sent it to another recruiter from a better school but Craggs had stormed off before he could tell him.
    2. The Slow and Easy Club: (Johnny Quick) the slow and easy club is made up of people who might have died because they tried to do something too fast if Johnny Quick hadn't been there. here some of its members tell their stories.
    3. Jerry The Jitterbug: (humor strip) Jerry is on the Football team and when another guy gets hurt the coach puts him in. he hesitates and puts on a baseball catcher's mask saying he saw what happened to the other guy and has a big date that night.
    4. Under the Sea For Life: (Aquaman) Steve Sanders is obsessed with Aquaman and trains for years in hopes of becoming his assistant but the first time he tries to help it nearly gets him killed. after being saved by Aquaman, Steve tells him he still wants to help him. Aquaman offers him a chance, saying that one man knows the operation that made him Aquaman but can't make Steve amphibious, if he gets the operation he would have to stay underwater for the rest of his life. before he decides he is told he must pass at least one of three tests and Aquaman gives him a suit like his but yellow and blue instead of orange and green and with a helmet that will let him breath underwater for 24 hours. he gives him three tests he can't pass and in the end, Steve becomes a lifeguard.

The Third Archer: (Green Arrow) a village in France is struggling to rebuild since the war and Andre Raynard wants to sell his chateau to help but because of a mishap 500 years ago he can't sell it until he saves the lives of 2 archer lawmen so he dons a costume and goes where he hears reports about Green Arrow and Speedy in hopes of saving them.
