    Short summary describing this issue.

When Superman Learned To Fly; Last Day last edited by njg5595 on 07/28/19 08:57AM View full history

The breakneck pace of Grant Morrison's run on ACTION COMICS continues as the Superman of the present day must team up with suspiciously different versions of the Legion of Super-Heroes to save the jeans-wearing Superman of five years ago! Whose hand is that on the cover? Why, the leader of the Anti-Superman Army, of course!

Plus, a backup by Sholly Fisch and ChrisCross that spins directly out of the lead story!

    Silver Age Supreme 0

In the early issues of this volume of Action Comics, we witnessed Grant Morrison doing his take on Superman’s Golden Age adventures. With these last two issues, Grant’s showing his love of the Silver Age Superman just as he did with All-Star Superman. This story also reminded me of Alan Moore’s Supreme with the reworked Silver Age villains, and that’s not a bad thing. This issue will no doubt frustrate many readers who simply hate thinking because it involves (GASP!) time travel, but if you’ve b...

    Typical Polarizing Morrison Storyline 0

Grant Morrison whenever he writes Batman or Superman always likes using a whole bunch of weird characters nobody cares about, likes to tell the story out of order jumping around in time, is all over the place, and makes a convoluted story out of it.Does anyone actually like the time travelling Legion of Superheroes from the 30th Century? I know they've been around in the DC Universe for a long time, but I'm sure I'm not alone here when I say a lot of people are annoyed by them. But despite my op...

    Inception 0

A lot of theories were going around about The Little Man, but it's here, right away this issue begins by confirming his major role in whatever Morrison has planned. The Anti-Superman Army is established as an ongoing threat for Superman, likely to be dispatched one at a time, or maybe towards the end en masse. But The Little Man is key, and the rest have some crazy designs with a lot of nice variety. The time frame for this issue is cemented in a deep way. It's like a whole story crammed into a s...
